Recreation
Recreation projects are a strong focus at Overcash Demmitt Architects. Now more than ever, many communities recognize recreation to be a necessity, rather than a luxury. Citizens and visitors of all ages enjoy the benefits of a more health-conscious lifestyle. We understand that recreation centers are community centers integrating meeting facilities, childcare and learning centers with more traditional recreation uses. Our firm has benefited our clients by sharing our understanding and experience in Recreational Master Planning and Design. Our Recreation Studio has extensive experience in designing recreational facilities including YMCAs, health clubs, family life centers, wellness centers, exposition and civic centers, motorsports and parks.
New Urban
Overcash Demmitt Architects has been at the front of the New Urbanism movement for several years. Our New Urban design experience includes planning and design of towns and communities utilizing smart growth principles to create sustainable developments. Our New Urban Studio has expertise ranging from urban infill projects to large brownfield and Greenfield communities. We enthusiastically seek out clients that are inspired by smart growth, livable communities, sustainable housing, infill developments and traditional neighborhood developments. As a member of the Urban Land Institute, we have been tracking the success of similar developments across the nation, as well as visiting many of them and discussing the challenges with the people who live there.
Hospitality
Whether developing prototypical hotel designs for corporate chains or customized restaurant designs for franchisees, our Hospitality Studios strives to develop efficient and logical site planning, create innovative and cost effective design and provide careful follow-through during construction. Currently we are designing Marriott and Hilton hotels from upstate New York to Orlando, Florida. Our firm is also the lead Architect for the design of the SpringHill Suites brand for Marriott International. Overcash Demmitt Architects restaurant design experience includes a new House of Taipei, a prototype for Monterrey Restaurant and new concepts for the Planet Grill and Fuel Pizza Café.
Office
Overcash Demmitt Architects office experience includes design of facilities for Fortune 500 companies as well as for healthcare and industrial facilities. In the public sector, our experience includes human services centers, libraries, town halls and governmental offices at federal, state and local levels. Overcash Demmitt Architects enjoys the challenges and opportunities of designing new, customized office buildings as well as renovations and additions to existing buildings. Our firm features an Office Studio that specializes in office building design – from shell buildings to custom upfits.
